The Quilted Sweatshirt is so the BOMB

I know the quilted thing was all over the runway in recents shows but have they really caught on? I don't actually know if they have but I think this Hive & Honey Quilted Sweatshirt with striped detailing at the cuffs is absolutely bomb (did I just say "bomb"?... I just had to!)

A Look I Can Get Behind 100%

The metallic skirt paired with the casual hip pullover minimal sweater is a look I can totally get behind. It's casual, comfortable and yet downtown chic.

My Long Ago Grunge Days Haunt Me

I remember when Winona Ryder was the IT girl.  Dazed and Confused and Reality Bites were the movies that imitated current life... kind of, or so we wished. Doc Martins, cardigans and makeup free faces with only bold red lips were the hottest thing. These are the things that I remember when I see the printed dress with lace trim from Zara, does it make me want to buy it and relive those moments? Umm... yes.

What I'm Currently Loving At Madewell Right Now

The Brushed Oversized Coat! A part of me thinks I must be getting older and with it my taste in clothes more sophisticated because I never use to love this style of cocoon shaped coats before. I can't help but be taken with the classic shape that is forever timeless.

Where else am I seeing it?  At Asos.

Bien Fait!

I tend to lean on the tomboyish side when it comes to fashion. I've got closet full of loose tees and jeans and tons of coats and jackets to accessorize. Madewell's Bien Fait (Well Done) shirt would be a perfect addition to my wardrobe.

Every Closet Must Have A Full Skirt

The full skirt seems to be one of those closet items that you think wouldn't last but just keeps coming back. I can't tell you how many full skirts I've given away absolutely believing that that was it, that their time had passed. So lesson learned, keep a nice full skirt short or midi in the closet... forever!

Free Spirited Bikini

An old image of Cameron Diaz wearing a bikini popped up on my computer screen as I was perusing my one vice, a celebrity magazine. I had to share the love I have for the combination of the lime green bandeau and the colorful bikini bottom she wears. Every summer I wonder what style and color swimwear I'm feeling and this is it for this 2013 summer, a free spirited and fun combo that is flirtatious yet easy-going.

Denim Unexpected

I love it when I'm caught unawares, kind of like what Rachel Comey's Sentinel denim top (available @ Madewell) did to me the other day. At first I just stopped and stared and then I asked myself how I felt about this top, then I began to wonder do I like it? do I hate it?- I may hate the price but I definitely love the top! For so long I've been seeing the chambray button-ups everywhere and they don't seem to be going out of style and I am quite frankly just a bit tired of them, but this top.... It is a new fresh style for denim tops that is absolutely cute, feminine and relaxed.  It's chambray button-up's cute little cousin!

Shorts + Skirt = SKORT!

I remember the skort in the 90's, it was one of the fashion trends of that time. When I happened upon the vibrant blue Skort at Zara's it immediately made me nostalgic, not that there was really anything to love about 90's fashion. Naturally Zara's 2013 Skort has made a transformation into a high-end, trim and prim with an essence of 'it's totally okay to wear it to work' skort.
